Which states don't have state taxes?

Unfortunately, all 50 states have taxes in some way, shape, or form. Otherwise their governments will not be able to function without having any public funds at their disposal. There are some states that don't have a state income tax levied upon its people. States like Florida, Nevada, Wisconsin, Texas, South Dakota, Washington, and Alaska all do not possess a state-based income tax against its residents. People in Tennessee and New Hampshire are also partially tax-free when it comes to income tax. However, even though there is no income tax that doesn't necessarily mean that residents in those states live life a lot easier and tax-free than others. Most of those states have higher tax rates or fees in other categories such as estate and/or property tax. And above all else, residents of these states still have to pay federal income taxes like every other state.
